Regular Board Meeting

Director’s meeting of the MRFPD met February 18, 2026 at 7:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by President M Gartner. Directors in attendance were D Ell, S Gartner, M Gartner, T Gartner, T Kalvoda, K Kirchmeier, B Klesalek, K Nelson, C Rebenitsch and J Steckler.Also in attendance were L Gustin, J Hopkins, K Gustin, T Sheldon, and J Leingang.

S Gartner presented the board with the Minutes, Treasurer’s Report and the monthly bills.

Motion by T Kalvoda, 2nd by T Gartner to approve the minutes. Motion Carried

Motion by T Gartner, 2nd by B Klesalek to approve and file the Treasurer’s report.Motion carried.

S Gartner gave an update on the books. All information for 2024 and 2025 has been entered into the new bookkeeping program.

S Gartner received an email from Midco wanting to know if we wanted to save money by entering into either a 36- or 60-month contract. Chief Gustin will check prices on other Internet Service Provider’s.

S Gartner also brought up that WRT is changing their rates, and we could save money if we dropped the Telephone service in St Anthony. After discussion this is tabled until next month.

T Gartner reported that if the power flickers the cameras go offline at the St Anthony Hall.If we get an APC cord it should solve the issue. They can be ordered off of Amazon per D Ell.

D Ell made a motion to pick up an APC cord, 2nd by C Rebenitsch. Motion carried.

T Gartner made a motion to have the 65th annual meeting on March 18, 2026, 2nd by K Kirchmeier. Motion carried.

1099’s have all been filed and mailed out to the recipients and mailed to the IRS. The secretary will continue to buy the supplies from Office Depot in January of 2026 for the 2025 1099’s.

Chief L Gustin reported on the Fire Department:

  • There was a bad accident this morning.
  • The new radios are installed. They are working great. All trucks are finished being installed and radios are working.
  • For the Forest Service Grant the chief will be applying for handheld radios w/chargers and foam.
  • The fire dept received a donation from the Eagles.
  • TC Grant is opening up, and chief will be applying for a deck gun for the new truck.
  • New 142 could possibly be finished this year
  • L Gustin talked to the Fisher’s and Randy Rhone about lots in St Anthony. At that time, he was told they are thinking $200,000.00 per lot.

Motion by J Steckler, 2nd by T Kalvoda to pay the monthly bills. Motion carried.

Motion by K Kirchmeier to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by T Gartner. Motion carried.
