Director’s meeting of the MRFPD met om July 15, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
The meeting was called to order by President M Gartner.Directors in attendance were S Gartner, M Gartner, T Gartner, D Gustin, D Hille, T Kalvoda, B Klesalek, C Rebenitsch and P Sweeney.Also in attendance were L Gustin, T Bosch, J Leingang and K Gustin.
S Gartner presented the board with the Minutes, Treasurer’s Report and the Monthly bills.
Motion by K Nelson, 2nd by T Kalvoda to approve the minutes.Motion carried.
Motion by T Gartner, 2nd D Gustin to approve the Treasurer’s report.Motion carried.
T Bosch built a Webpage for the Fire Dept and the Board of Director’s.He went through and explained everything.There will not be much maintenance.
- S Gartner would upload the agenda, minutes and any updates for the board.
- There would be 1 or 2 members of the Fire Department to upload any updates for the Fire department.
- D Hille suggested we link to Morton County’s website.
- T Bosch will donate the site.If there were a lot of traffic we could be bumped up to the next tier.
- The Domain name will cost around $12.00 per month.
- Motion made by C Rebenitsch, 2nd by D Gustin to go ahead with the webpage and to reimburse T Bosch for the work he has done.Motion carried.
Chief’s Report:
- The 2026 picnic was held at the Fire Hall and will continue to be there for the future.
- There was a couple of small Fireworks fires.
- They also responded to a backhoe that burned up.
- There were checks done on the hydrants and they also checked the flows.
- Chief handed out a sheet with the calls for the district along with directions and types of fires.
- Chief spoke with Pat Martin and he can generate population density & growth maps.
- D Hille suggested a spreadsheet of the calls for the month be handed out with the minutes.Also it is suggested we go back 5 years for trends.
- The state switched over to a new reporting system that is very difficult to navigate.We can purchase our own reporting system, but it is costly.
- A suggestion was made to have the spreadsheet of calls be quarterly or monthly.
S Gartner heard back from the Auditor’s.They just started the 2024 Audit.
Motion by B Klesalek, 2nd by T Kalvoda to pay the monthly bills.Motion carried.
Motion by K Nelson, 2nd by B Klesalek to adjourn.Motion carried.
